ECIC + LTC = IMPACT

On May 19, 2016, Light the City (LTC) hosted session 2 of their Spring 16' Nonprofit Accelerator: Message Clarity. Throughout this intensive, day-long session, 9 teams of schenectady based nonprofits and social entrepreneurs gathered at the Electric City Innovation Center (ECIC) to learn and collaborate with expert mentors from across the capital region.

One of the key takeaways: "We trust people & organizations that believe what we what believe and value what we value." Jeff Stasko

"Nonprofits are very valuable in that they allow so many of us to realize those social justice ideals we hold so dear to our hearts." Said Managing Director of the Nonprofit Accelerator, Johan Matthews. "In fact, everything we do and say as a brand, nonprofit or otherwise, should center around reinforcing that...  actually besides their awesome space, that's one of the reasons we chose to partner with the ECIC for this session"

Bill Kernick, Executive Director of the Electric City Innovation Center (ECIC) notes:

"[The] ECIC strives to be the focal point for the growing innovation ecosystem in Schenectady, and loves to partner with groups like LTC to expand the impact and reach of innovation."
